Head of Ganztag – school year 24/25

We are looking for a committed person to take over the leadership of the co-curricular enrichment programme – Ganztag – at our bilingual school from 15 August 2024. In this challenging position, as a member of our school leadership team, you will be largely responsible for the organisation, coordination and quality assurance of our Ganztag and actively shape our school life in an international environment. Working hours: Full time (40 hours weekly)

Degree: State-recognised educator, childhood educator BA/MA, social worker (BA/MA) or comparable qualifications. Further qualifications to develop your leadership skills are an advantage.

Language skills: You speak German OR English at native speaker level. A language level of at least B2-C1 is expected for the other language.

Main tasks:

  • Pedagogical leadership, quality assurance of Ganztag programmes in compliance with the legal framework and regulations
  • Personnel responsibility / personnel management: educators, FSJ volunteers and social worker
  • Coordination / organisation of deployment, duty and substitution schedules
  • Selection and recruitment of staff, including lateral entrants and trainees, submission of personnel matters to the school supervisory authority Ganztag / eföB
  • Internal and external communication
  • Organisation of school events and processes in everyday school life
  • Prevention concept and programmes together with the school social worker
  • Organisation of our Ganztag premises, orders, budget management
  • Collaboration in school development in the school leadership team

  15. Working time is living time! We try to respond to individual needs and take into account your own personal work-life balance when creating timetables. In addition, we offer the children of our employees preferential admission to our Platanus Kindergarten or to the lara.kita, our cooperation partner. Of course, there is also the possibility of admission to Platanus Schule Berlin, subject to availability of school places as well as language and academic qualifications.
  16. Remuneration is paid according to our in-house tariff with 6 pay grade levels corresponding to those in the public sector (pay group S8a).
