Theater Premiere: “Allesuniversum: Lichterde

June 19th, 2015 • A great performance from our Platanus Junior Theater Company at the Gala of „Tag der Freien Schulen“ (day of the free schools). When I presented our self-invented work “Allesuniversum: Lichterde” with my 15 artists from the Platanus Junior Theater Company on September 27th, 2014, and we celebrated a fantastic premiere on a great stage, we did not expect that one year later we would get the chance to present our work on an even bigger stage.

It was already a big deal, that we would now make an appearance at the „20th Neuköllner Grundschultreffen“ where Pisnelda, Lilly, Marie and the other super heros and super villains would come to life.

When the organizers invited us to the Gala of the „Freien Schulen“ in the chamber theatre of the „Deutsches Theater“, we could only answer with a joyful “YES!”. Despite extra rehearsals, getting up early on Sunday mornings (phew, who likes that?) and even the illness of our actress Pisnelda (incredibly brave – she wanted to act anyway and no one noticed anything on stage), we did not regret a thing. Quite the opposite! The great parents and grandparents of our children in the Platanus Junior Theater Company supported us once again, both mentally and energetically, and they were just as enthusiastic about our performance as the other spectators in the hall.

We all went home happy and exhilarated after the show. And now? Well, that is quite clear: we are working on a new stage piece – we know which one it will be already – but we’re not telling you that yet!
