Our Locations

The district of Pankow in the north-east of Berlin is particularly popular with families, as it offers attractive residential areas, idyllic parks and green spaces, popular cultural centres, nice restaurants and cafés as well as a wide range of shopping opportunities from weekly markets to small shops in the trendy neighbourhood and modern shopping centres.

Our school building is located in the heart of Pankow and is centrally located just a few minutes’ walk from the underground and suburban train stations as well as bus and tram stops. The listed Gründerzeit building from 1923 has been used as a post office building since its construction. Thanks to our extensive and loving renovations, the charm of this beautiful building has been preserved and offers modern, bright and friendly classrooms, subject rooms and common rooms in a historic building.

Each school class learns in its own classroom, in which most of the lessons take place. For classes 1 to 4, there is also an adjoining all-day room for learning, relaxing and playing.

We also have fully equipped and modern subject rooms for science, music and art as well as two early and late childcare rooms, a computer lab, a school library, a workshop and various group rooms. In our large and bright cafeteria the students take their lunch and snacks. A terrace in front of the cafeteria offers the possibility to sit outside when the weather is fine.

On the 3rd floor of our school building is the gymnasium in the former telecommunications centre of the post office. This is where our sports lessons take place in bad weather and we also like to use the gymnasium as an assembly hall for events. When the weather is good, we visit the Kissingen stadium, which is only one kilometre or two bus stops away, for sports lessons. Swimming lessons take place in the Thomas Mann swimming hall in Prenzlauer Berg. A bus is available for our students to and from the stadium.

Right next to the main school building is a modern new building: the Second House with four large and bright classrooms for our secondary school students. We have also expanded our campus with the start of the 2023/24 school year. In the neighbouring building – at Berliner Straße 13 – there are now two more classrooms and a student lounge for grades 7 to 10. The student lounge is used as a study and work space as well as a break and recreation room. Currently, we are also working intensively on the planning and development of further rooms for the upper secondary school (Years 11 to 13) from the school year 2024/25.

We have redesigned our schoolyard. The sporty playground equipment, a “ball cage”, table tennis tables, benches and an outdoor chillout lounge invite our students to play and relax during breaks, before and after lessons. We particularly like our Green Space, a school garden with various fruit trees, raised beds, berry bushes and other bee- and butterfly-friendly plants. Here, lessons can also take place outdoors when the weather is nice.
