Susanne Hofer

Head of Platanus Kindergarten

Susanne Hofer has been the head of the Kindergarten since 2010 and is responsible for both of the Platanus Kindergarten campuses. With the founders, she has built up the Kindergartens of the Platanus Bildungs gGmbH and continues to do so. She was born in Bavaria and grew up in Saarland, Baden-Wüttemberg and Lower Saxony. Following her Abitur in Wolfsburg, she completed studies in political science and sociology at TU Braunschweig. In 1993 she moved to Berlin and undertook studies at FU Berlin in education, sport and psychology with a focus on early years pedagogy and developmental psychology. With her many years of experience working in a variety of environments in the area of social work, as well as time spent abroad and diverse additional trainings, Susanne brings a range of professional competencies in systemic family work, child protection, intercultural pedagogy, language support and as a PEKiP group leader. Her passions are creative design, crafts, flea markets and working in the garden. Susanne Hofer lives with her son in Prenzlauer Berg.
