Platanus represents at the Girls’ Technology Congress in Berlin!
On 29.09.2022, students from Years 7 to 10, together with Ms. Barry, our science, physics, biology and chemistry teacher, made their way to Berlin-Adlershof to slip into the role of a researcher, programmer or lab technician at the Girls’ Technology Congress.
After a joint introduction and subsequent contributions on career entry opportunities in the high-tech industry, various two-hour workshops were offered. Our students took part in a chemistry magic show, they could explore the ISS in a virtual reality tour, soldered their own electric game, learned about stage technology and built a parachute.
In addition, many companies introduced themselves and presented interesting job opportunities and professional careers in the technology sector.
Our students found some workshops more exciting than others, but all agreed that the day was exciting and inspiring.
